Appendix 5: Security Functions

This appendix contains a list of every security function available in Admin and lists what each function controls. Use the information listed here to create security roles for specific groups of employees that will give them access to only those areas of Trimble Unity Permit that they need to fulfill their responsibilities. In this way, you will safeguard your data and ensure accurate, consistent data gathering and storage.

Global

This section contains Trimble Unity Permit functions available to system administrators. This section is usually only accessible by administrators. System administrators can grant permission to specific functions to end users as well. For example, an administrator can give an end user the ability to add new people accounts or contractors.

This section contains functions used to configure case templates. All case template configuration tools are listed here. This section is usually accessible to administrators and power users involved in configuring templates, managing fees, and so on.
