Add or Edit an Attachment Mapping

IMPORTANT: The storage location for attachments has been changed to S3. However, GIS media is not yet affected by this change.

  1. From the home page, click Configure and click Attachment Mappings.

The Attachment Mappings panel lists all existing attachment mappings.

  1. Click Add record on the Attachment Mappings panel to add a new attachment mapping.

  1. Enter the Source, which must be either a local drive or a UNC path, and click Add. Optionally, enter the Alias for the mapping.

The new attachment mapping displays in the Attachment Mappings panel.

  1. Select it and finish entering the Attachment Mapping Details.

NOTE: An Alias is needed when the Path cannot be resolved by Trimble Unity and an alternate path needs to be used. If an Alias is defined, Trimble Unity replaces the Source with the Alias before attempting to find the folder or file. You need to define both a Source and an Alias.

  1. To edit an attachment mapping, select from the Attachment Mappings panel and make the desired changes.

NOTE: Your changes are automatically saved, and the changes are verified by a notification at the bottom of the page.
