Perform a Bulk Export or Bulk Import

Multiple records can be exported or imported at once using CSV files. Bulk import actions can be used for adding new records and editing existing records.

PREREQUISITES:

  • The Task Map Logic security function must be selected for the security role you belong to.
  • You must have at least one task set up in the database. See Task Setup (Permit) for more information.
  • You must have at least one map layer configured. See Configure Assets for more information.
  • You must have map logic conditions configured. See Add Map Logic Conditions for more information.
  1. From the home page, click Permitting and click Template Map Logic.
  2. On the Map Layer Setup panel, select the entry or entries you want to export data for.

If you don't make a selection, the CSV export file will include data for all records.

  1. Click Export CSV.

  1. Make a selection from the download option menu:
  • Export Template Map Logic
  • Export Assigned Actions

The CSV file downloads.

  1. From the home page, click Permitting and click Template Map Logic.
  2. Download the CSV file(s) that contains the appropriate rows and columns for the import you want to perform.
  3. Edit the CSV file with the data you want to add or edit and save the file.
  4. Click Import CSV.

  1. Select an import option:
  • Import Template Map Logic
  • Import Assigned Actions

The import panel opens.

  1. Drag and drop a file into the file upload area, or click within the file upload area to browse and select a file.

After selecting a file, data from the file displays for review in the columns above the file upload area.

  1. Click Import.
