GIS Field Mapping

GIS field mappings can be configured for each asset type. The EntityUids for each asset type can also be validated.

PREREQUISITES:

You need a domain-assigned service definition with a valid geometry service. See Add a Geometry Service in the Admin Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit for more information.
The first time you open Operational Insights, you need to add any apps or pages you need or want to access. For example, use the Route menu option to add a menu item that navigates to the Asset Strategy, Asset Curve, and other pages. See Add Menu Items and Edit Item Fields for more information.
Asset attributes need to be marked as Visible for Operational Insights to run configurations against them. See Add an Asset Type in the Admin Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit for more information.

NOTE: If the default domain GIS service definition does not include a geometry service, the latitude and longitude will be set to null. See Add or Edit Service Definitions in the Admin Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit.

TIP: Make sure GIS attributes that require ranges are configured with integer type fields instead of double type fields.
