Configuration Fields
The following fields appear on the Configuration page.
- Entity Type: Select the entity type that contains the pavement data.
- System ID: Select the Network ID geodatabase field.
- Name: Select the geodatabase field to map to the Name.
- Network ID: Select the geodatabase field to map to the Network ID.
- Comments: Select a field to pull comments from.
- Custom 1, Custom 2, or Custom 3: If you want to map a PAVER custom field to a geodatabase field for additional network information, enter it here.
- Metric Conversion: Select if needed. PAVER has its own internal conversion routines in the PAVER import wizards and you should indicate within those wizards whether you are importing English or Metric units.
- Entity Type: Select the entity type that contains the pavement data.
- Branch System ID: Select the same field as what is selected for Branch ID.
- Network System ID: Select the same field as what is selected for Network ID on the Network tab.
- Branch ID: Select the geodatabase field to map to the Branch ID.
- Street Name: Select the geodatabase field to map to the Street Name.
- Pavement Use: Select the geodatabase field to map to the Pavement Use.
- Pavement Area: The area of the branch is automatically calculated, so this field is not required.
- Area Adjustment: This can be a positive or negative number to adjust for a change in the width of a street due to additional turn lanes, narrow bridges, or the loss of a lane on a part of the branch. This is not commonly used at the branch level.
- Area Units: The measurement units being used for this area adjustment, for example, square feet.
- Custom 1, Custom 2, or Custom 3: If you want to map a PAVER custom field to a geodatabase field for additional branch information, enter it here.
- Comments: Select a field to pull comments from.
- Number of Sections: Enter the number of sections comprising this branch.
- Metric Conversion: Select if needed. PAVER has its own internal conversion routines in the PAVER import wizards and you should indicate within those wizards whether you are importing English or Metric units.
- Entity Type: Select the entity type that contains the pavement data.
- Branch System ID: Select the same field as what is selected for Branch ID.
- Pavement Length: Select the geodatabase field to map to the Pavement Length. This is used to calculate the Section Area on a pavement inspection.
- System ID: Select the object ID for the section records in the GIS.
- Pavement Width: Select the geodatabase field to map to the Pavement Width. This is used to calculate the Section Area on a pavement inspection.
- Last Construction Date: The last date of major construction work on this section. Starts with the initial construction date and is updated any time a major work activity is done on the section to bring the section back up to a score of 100.
- From Location: Select the geodatabase field to map to the From Location. This appears on a pavement inspection in the Section From field.
- Pavement Class: This is mapped to the Rank field in PAVER. The attribute list in the GIS must match those in PAVER.
- Entity UID: This is the Entity UID field defined in Admin for the pavement layer. See Configure Assets in the Admin Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit for more information.
- Pavement Surface: Select the geodatabase field to map to the Pavement Surface. This appears on a pavement inspection in the Surface field.
- To Location: Select the geodatabase field to map to the To Location. This appears on a pavement inspection after the Section From field.
- Zone: This is an additional field to further describe the area that a section exists in. This list is customizable in the PAVER software.
- Area Adjustment: This can be a positive or negative number to adjust for a change in the width of a street due to additional turn lanes, narrow bridges, or the loss of a lane on a part of the section.
- Joint Length: The length between the joints of slabs of a concrete street.
- Area Units: Select the geodatabase field to map to the Area Units. This appears on a pavement inspection after the Section Area field. The measurement units being used for this area adjustment. For example, square feet.
- Linear Units: The measurement units being used for the Pavement Length.
- Slab Length: The length of a concrete slab of this section.
- Slab Width: The width of a concrete slab of this section.
- Category: Specific categories unique to the Paver software. Y=Family Housing, N=Non-Family Housing, and O=Other.
- Comments: Select a field to pull comments from.
- Grade: The percent grade to the section of pavement.
- Number of Lanes: Number of traffic lanes in this section of pavement. The majority average number of lanes if there are turn lanes on part of the section.
- Shoulder: A description of the type of shoulder that exists on this section of pavement.
- Number of Slabs: The total number of concrete slabs that make up this section of pavement.
- Custom 1, Custom 2, or Custom 3: If you want to map a PAVER custom field to a geodatabase field for additional section information, enter it here.
- Street Type: Additional field available to further describe the pavement section. This list is customizable in the PAVER software.

- Pavement Express Base URL: Enter the URL for your AgileAssets or Pavement Express website.
- Pavement Express Entity Type: Select the entity type to use for road segments.
