Add Material on the Material Costs Panel

Add employee or contractor material on the Material Costs panel in ELM.

PREREQUISITES:

  • If you are using Storeroom, users must belong to a storeroom group in order to manage material in ELM. See Groups in the Storeroom Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain for more information.

NOTE: All images were taken from a work order. While there are differences between the work activities, the functionality and the steps are the same.

  1. Open ELM. See Open ELM for more information.
  1. On the Material Costs panel, select Actual to add confirmed costs or select Estimated to add anticipated costs.

  1. Click Add record in the Standard or Contractor section.

  1. Add the cost information, all required fields are marked in red. Assets can be added to a cost on the cost panel. See Add Material on the Material Costs Panel for more information.

NOTE: When adding labor, equipment, and material provided by a contractor, enter the total cost in the Cost field. The system does not calculate the cost by the number of Hours and/or Units entered.

  1. Click Save.

The new material costs show in the Cost Summary and the Material Costs panels.

IMPORTANT: Information entered in the Cost field must be the total cost of all units. Trimble Unity does not calculate the cost of the units.
