Case Utility Fields
The following fields are found in the Case Utility and Case Action panels.
- Number: Enter the case number.
- Tag: Enter a tag. A tag is a free-form label for the activity a case is associated with. This is not a required item, but can be useful in tracking and organizing large projects that include many different cases.
- Accepted Date From: The case acceptance start date. Either enter the date manually, double-click in the field to enter today's date, or use the calendar icon.
- Accepted Date To: The case acceptance end date. Either enter the date manually, double-click in the field to enter today's date, or use the calendar icon.
- Project Code: Select a project code from the drop-down list.
- Status: Select a case status from the drop-down list.
- Case Type: Select a case type from the drop-down list.
- Sub Type: Select a case subtype from the drop-down list.
- Public Access Cases: Select the check box to include Public Access cases.
- Search: Select to search for records matching the search criteria.
- Clear: Select to clear all search criteria.
- Filter records: Click to quickly filter the list of fields in the panel.
- Actions: Select to perform an action on the selected case(s).
- Column Menu: Click to modify the columns shown on the panel.
Case Utility Results Fields
- CaseId: The case ID of the returned results.
- Case Number: The case number of the returned results.
- Case Type: The case type of the returned results.
- Sub Type: The case subtype of the returned results.
- Tag: The case tag of the returned results.
- Status: The case status of the returned results.
Select one of the following options after selecting the case(s) in the search results:
- New Case Type: Select a new case type from the drop-down list.
- New Subtype: Select a new subtype from the drop-down list.
- New Case Number: Enter a specific case number.
- Change Case Status To: Select a new status from the drop-down list. This changes the selected case(s) to the new status.
- Use Case Number Next In Sequence: Select to use the next case number in the sequence.
- Remove Parent/Child Relationships: Select to remove any parent/child relationships from the selected case(s).
- Delete Case And Associated Data: Select to remove the case and its associated case data from the selected case(s). If a case has a status of Done, it cannot be removed through the Case Utility tool.
