Edit a Work Order
Open work orders can be edited. If multiple work orders are opened at the same time, you can switch between them and add or update information to each as needed. See View Multiple Work Orders for more information on opening multiple work orders and how to switch between them.
NOTE: If a user is viewing a work order and that work order is updated elsewhere (for example, by someone in the office), the user is notified that it has been updated. If the user has not refreshed the work order and tries to save it, they are warned of changes that have been made and are prompted to confirm that they want to save.
- Open the desired work order. See Open a Work Order for more information.
- Make the desired changes.
- Click Save in the upper-right corner.
NOTE: If you have opened multiple work orders and are switching between them to add or update information, you must click Save before switching to the next work order.
If there are any field validations set up for the work order, either an error or warning message appears when you try to update the work order if the field requirements have not been met. See Field Validation in the Admin Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit for more information.
