Notifications

A number appears next to the notification bell when there are notifications for the user. Notifications inform users of new or updated information for a case, such as attachments that have been added. They can notify the user assigned to the case as well as interested parties who are watching the case. Notifications can be configured by the administrator to include an Active Report PDF attachment. Notifications are created and sent to the Assigned To user:

  • If the user is the Assigned To user.
  • If a task is configured to send a notification when the task Assigned To user is updated.
  • If the user is mentioned in a comment on the case or a task in the workflow of a case.
  • If the following events happen while the user is watching the case. See Watch a Case for more information on how to watch a case.
  • An attachment is added by someone other than the Assigned To user.
  • A payment is made (e.g., on a fee) by someone other than the Assigned To user.
