Add a Subtype

PREREQUISITES: The Subtypes security function and its associated sub-functions must be selected for the security role you belong to. See Security Roles for more information.

1. From the home page, click Permitting and click Subtypes.
2. On the Subtypes panel, click Add record.

3. On the Add Subtype panel, enter a (10-character maximum) name in the Subtype field.
4. Enter a brief explanation of the subtype in the Description field. This field is limited to 40 characters.
5. Enter the minimum or default requirements for the subtype in the Default Details field. This is a free-form text box with a higher character limit so you can provide more details about the subtype.
6. Click Add or Add and New to add the subtype and create another one.

NOTE: The Review Config panel provides visibility of where a selected data item (such as a case type, user, status code, or other Trimble Unity Permit item) is being used. See Review Permit Configurations for more information.
