Remove an Asset from a Work Activity

You can maintain high data integrity by managing the contents of a work activity in real time. Rather than dealing with "data drift" by waiting to fix records back at the office, you can remove incorrect or irrelevant assets immediately from the mobile app.

IMPORTANT:

  • Removing vs. Deleting an Asset: Removing an asset from a work activity breaks the link between the asset record and the work activity. It does not delete the physical asset from the map or the database.
  • Offline Synchronization: If you remove an asset from a work activity while offline, the relationship change is stored on your device until you perform a sync to upload your changes to the server. See View and Perform a Manual Sync for more information.
  • AccessType Domains and Locking: If an asset was locked to your user profile via an AccessType domain upon being added to the activity, then removing the asset from the work activity triggers an automatic update to the AccessType. The asset is released from your Locked status, allowing other users to associate it with different work activities.
