Planning Periods

Users can create planning period scenarios using assigned MQA (Maintenance Quality Assurance) surveys, duplicate and merge scenarios, view survey results, and view historic planning periods.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Permissions for LoS must be configured in Admin. See Assign Permissions to an Employee in the Admin Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit Guide for more information.
  • Administer: Can view, edit, and move scenarios to the approved or not approved states.
  • Use: Can view and edit scenarios.
  • View: Can only view the information on the screen.
  • The minimum permissions to see LoS data:
  • Admin > Employees > Permissions > Maintenance Quality Assurance Surveys > Associate Inspections
  • Admin > Employees > Permissions > View
  • Admin > Employee Relates > Admin module > Admin table > MQA_CONFIG field
  • Users must be assigned to the MQA survey template. See Configure Admin Units in the Admin Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit for more information.
  1. Enter a Name for the active planning period you need to create.
  2. Select a Time Period from the drop-down list.
  3. Click Save.

NOTE: There is a one-to-one relationship between MQA surveys, time periods, and planning periods. Therefore, drop-down lists are restricted to ensure only one MQA survey is associated to each time period.

  1. If you have an active planning period and want to create a new one, click New from the drop-down list.

This will move the previous planning period to the Historic Planning Periods table.

  1. If you want to delete the active planning period, click Delete from the drop-down list.

This will delete the active planning period only if there are no scenarios created in the planning period.
