Q: How do I connect to a data source?
A: The data source is now automatically established when a data set is added, but you can add a custom data source connection if needed. See Add a Data Source for more information.
Q: Is a license or another application required to run ActiveReports?
A: ActiveReports is a part of Trimble Unity Respond and no license or additional application is required.
Q: How do I include images in a report?

Q: What is required to run the ActiveReports Migration Tool?
A: Crystal Report Runtime 32 bit and .NET Framework 4.6.2 are required for the ActiveReports Migration Tool. See ActiveReports Migration Tool Guide for more information on using the tool.

A: The Crystal Reports subreport must be saved and migrated separately using the ActiveReports Migration Tool. See Subreport in the Mescius online help for more information.
Q: How do I access the Report Designer in Respond?
A: In Respond, add Report Designer to the menu (see Customize Menus for more information). Once Report Designer is added to the menu, click it to open Report Designer and a new report appears. See Standalone Designer in the Mescius online help.
Q: How do I create a new ActiveReport?
A: Open the Report Designer and a new report appears. See Create a Report in the Respond Guide for more information.
Q: How do I reuse existing data connections in new ActiveReports?
A: You can reuse data connections by cloning an existing report. A blank report with a data connection could be created, and then all subsequent reports cloned from it would have the same data connection.
Q: How can I limit who has access to Report Designer?
A: Access to the Report Designer page can be limited using Employee Relates in Admin. The employee relate is under Workmgr > Report > Report_Designer. See Assign Permissions to Employees in the Admin Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit for more information.
Q: How do I construct a query in ActiveReports?
