Create or Update the Application

An application can be created or updated in ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS and then add Trimble Identity redirect URLs to enable Trimble ID.

IMPORTANT: This is the first of three steps in the process. You must complete all three steps to set up Trimble ID correctly. See Trimble Identity and GIS Integration Setup for more information.

  1. See Create the Application in ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS in the Single Sign-on Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit to create an application in ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS.

NOTE: If the customer is a current Trimble Unity Maintain and Permit customer or is migrating from Cityworks, an application should already be registered in ArcGIS for a Cityworks/Maintain/Permit integration. Therefore, skip the previous step and complete the following step to add the Trimble Identity redirect URLs to the existing registration.

  1. In addition to the URL of the main Trimble Unity site, complete one of the following to add the Redirect URLs in the application in ArcGIS:

  1. The second step in the process is to submit a request to the Trimble support team to enable the Trimble ID third-party token store. The Client ID and Client Secret information is needed as part of the request. See Submit a Request to Trimble Support for more information.
