Submit a Request to Trimble Support

Once you have created or updated the application, you need to send a request to Trimble support to set up and enable the Trimble Identity/GIS integration. If you have multiple AGOL and/or Portal for ArcGIS sites, create/update the application in each AGOL or Portal for ArcGIS site, and submit one request to Trimble support that contains the needed information for each site.

PREREQUISITES:

  • IMPORTANT: This is the second of three steps in the process. Create or Update the Application must be completed first.
  • Because the request contains sensitive information, OneTimeSecret is being used to ensure it is securely transmitted. This service provides an encrypted channel for sending sensitive information via a passphrase-protected, single-use hyperlink.
  1. Open OneTimeSecret in the browser. Use the following link depending on the region you are in:

  3. EU region
  4. UK region
  5. NZ region

NOTE: OneTimeSecret does not currently have an AU region.

  1. In the text box, enter the following information. Make sure to modify values to match your ArcGIS environment. Please view the examples to understand how to enter the information in the text box for your site.

  1. Set a Passphrase and Expiration Time (i.e, Expires in 7 Days).
  2. Click Create Link.
  3. Copy the generated link.

NOTE: The recipient can only open the link once. Once the link is successfully opened, it will expire.

  1. If you are migrating to Trimble ID or starting to use Trimble ID for the first time, submit this request directly to the existing Trimble Unity Support case email (i.e., the email from “Reply Support OPS”) using the following template.
  • Optional: For added security, you can send the Passphrase in a separate, follow-up email in the same thread.

The Trimble support team responds to the request with a GIS Integration name. If you submitted a request that included multiple sites, each site is created with their own GIS Integration name and given to you. Use the GIS Integration name(s) to set up the GIS integration(s) in the Trimble Unity Maintain and Permit site. See Configure GIS Integrations for more information.

NOTE: If you are requesting additional GIS integrations after the initial Trimble ID on boarding, please open a support ticket with Trimble Unity Maintain Support and use the same process previously mentioned to provide the necessary information. Please use Trimble Unity GIS Integration request for the email subject line to ensure support can route the case to the appropriate team.
