Log In

You can log in to the mobile app using your organization name and user credentials. Your organization determines which Trimble Unity cloud service instance you are connecting to.

If you enter an incorrect password three times within a 15-minute period, your account is temporarily locked and you are prompted to try again after 30 minutes. Administrators can configure both the number of attempts and the lockout duration.

Trimble Unity Field users connecting to Trimble Unity Maintain or Trimble Unity Permit environments use Trimble ID for authentication, providing enhanced security and single-sign on capabilities.

Trimble ID allows you to seamlessly connect with various Trimble products like Trimble Connect, Trimble Mobile Manager, as well as partner products like Esri ArcGIS, eliminating the need to remember multiple logins.

PREREQUISITES: Before logging in to the app, ensure that:

  • Your administrator has enabled Trimble ID for your organization and sent you a Trimble ID invitation.
  • If you are a new user, you have followed the invitation link in your email to create a Trimble ID account. See Create a Trimble ID in the Trimble Account Services documentation for more information.
  • If your account uses ArcGIS resources, the TID/ArcGIS Integration is configured by your administrator.
  • Your device is connected to the internet.
  • You know your organization name and Trimble ID credentials. If you do not know your organization or need information on how to setup a new account, please contact your administrator.
  1. Launch the Trimble Unity Field mobile app.

A message appears asking you to allow the Trimble Unity Field app to access your device's location services. Depending on your device, you may be prompted to select your preferred location permissions.

IMPORTANT: To use location-based features, such as capturing a location or collecting GIS feature data, you must enable location permissions for the app. Without these permissions, these features will be unavailable.

  1. Enter your Organization.

NOTE: The Organization field is case sensitive.

  1. Tap Next.

If Trimble ID is configured for your organization, you are redirected to the Trimble ID Sign In page. A message may appear informing you that the Trimble Unity Field app wants to use Trimble ID to sign in. Tap Continue.

  1. On the Trimble ID Sign In page, enter the Email or username associated with your Trimble ID.
  2. Tap Next.
  3. Enter the Password associated with your Trimble ID.

If this is your first time logging in with Trimble ID, you will be prompted to authorize access to your assigned ArcGIS site.

  1. Log in using your ArcGIS credentials to complete the authorization. See Log In with GIS Integrations for the First Time in the Admin Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit for more information.

NOTE: For subsequent logins, the system retrieves your stored ArcGIS token and does not prompt for ArcGIS login again. If your ArcGIS token expires, you will be prompted to re-authorize.

For Android and iOS users, your device's credential manager may prompt you to save your login information, including biometric data, for access in the future. If accepted, your credentials will automatically fill on subsequent logins, streamlining the login process and improving efficiency for users who switch between multiple organizations.

At the initial log in, the app automatically syncs. The progress panel shows the total number of updates and changes that are being synced.

PREREQUISITES: Before logging in to the app, ensure that:

  • Single Sign-on is configured for your account. If Single Sign-on is not configured, you will not be able to log in to the app. See the Single Sign-on Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit for more information.
  • You must configure the redirect URI in your ArcGIS Online (AGOL) or ArcGIS Enterprise Portal environment in order to use SSO. See Configure the Redirect URI for more information.
  • Your device is connected to the internet.
  • You know your organization name and user credentials. If you do not know your organization or need information on how to setup a new account, please contact your administrator.

  2. Tap your SSO option to log in. For example, log in using your ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS credentials.

TIP:

  • Tap the X icon in the Organization, Username, or Password field to quickly clear the entered text.
  • Tap the Visibility icon to toggle the visibility of your password.

  1. If prompted, accept any SSO permission requests.
  2. Tap Sign In.
