Manage Tasks

Manage your workload efficiently by prioritizing, organizing, and tracking tasks to ensure critical items are never missed and deadlines are met. Click the refresh icon to reload data without resetting all the filters.

  • The first time you open Respond, you need to add any apps or pages you need or want to access. For example, use the Route menu option to add a menu item that navigates to the Asset Details, License Management tool, Download Reports, and other pages. See Add Menu Items and Edit Item Fields for more information.
  • Checklist items must be completed in order to complete a task. See Complete Checklists for more information.

In order for a case to progress, the tasks associated to the case must be completed.

  1. Open Task Manager and perform a search. See Search for Tasks for more information on performing a search.
  2. In the Scheduled tab, click the row actions three dots icon to the right of the task.
  3. Click Complete Task.

  1. Select a result from the Complete Task panel and click Complete. The task result is updated and the task is moved to the Completed tab.

You can mark a task as important to ensure it gets immediate attention, and manually reorder tasks to better prioritize your workflow.

  1. Open Task Manager and perform a search. See Search for Tasks for more information on performing a search.

Mark as Important

  1. In the Scheduled tab, click the row actions three dots icon to the right of the task.
  2. Click Mark as Important. This adds a red flag next to the task name for quick visual identification.

  1. To remove the flag, click the row actions three dots icon next to a task with a red flag and select Mark as not Important.

Reorder Tasks

Users may only modify the sequence of tasks associated with their own account. By default, tasks are ordered by the latest target start date first.

  1. In the Scheduled tab, click and drag the reorder handle (located on the left of the task) and drop it into your preferred position. The system automatically reassigns tasks to reflect the new order.

You can show a task on the map.

  1. Open Task Manager and perform a search. See Search for Tasks for more information on performing a search.
  2. In the Scheduled tab, click the row actions three dots icon to the right of the task.
  3. Click Show on Map.

Inspection tasks can be removed.

  1. Open Task Manager and perform a search. See Search for Tasks for more information on performing a search.
  2. In the Scheduled tab, click the row actions three dots icon to the right of the task.
  3. Cancel Task is activated for inspection tasks. Click Cancel Task.

  1. Click Cancel on the confirmation panel.
