Change Languages

You can switch between different language files applied to the Style app. When you log in next time, the app uses the language you selected the previous time or selects a language based on the browser's language setting and default Style languages.

PREREQUISITES:

  • A language file must be added and applied to Style within Admin. See Add a Language Translation to a Plugin in the Admin Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit for more information.

You can switch between language files from Settings. This changes Style's field and button names (i.e., Plugin, Create a Profile, etc.) to the selected language.

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Click the Language drop-down list.

You can switch between language files directly from the Layout Strings panel. This only changes the strings within the panel to the selected language.

  1. Select a Plugin that has language files applied to it. See Select a Plugin to Customize for more information.
  2. Select a custom profile from the Profile drop-down list. See Profiles for more information.
  3. Select a Layout to modify.

The Layout Strings panel loads. Any modifications you have made within the panel appear. If there are multiple language files applied to the selected plugin, a Language drop-down list is visible in the Layout Strings panel.

  1. Click Language and select a language.

The Layout Strings panel loads the selected language and updates the strings in the panel for the profile.

NOTE: If you have existing modifications made directly to the Layout Strings panel before selecting a language from the Language drop-down list, those modifications override or take precedence over any other changes. For example, if you have a modification to one string and change the language to Swedish, all of the strings except for the one with the modifications would use the Swedish language file.
