Once Trimble has set up the site, an email invitation is sent to the user who has been designated as the account administrator. If the user already has a Trimble ID, click the link in the email and log in with your Trimble ID to become the account administrator for the site. If the user has not created a Trimble ID, click the link in the email to create a Trimble ID. Complete the following steps to create a Trimble ID:

1. Click the link in the email invitation.

2. Enter your first and last name and the email address you want to associate with your Trimble ID.
3. Review the terms and conditions, select the check box, and then select Agree and continue.

A unique code is sent to your email.

4. Check your email to retrieve the code and enter it in the Verification Code field.
5. Create and enter a password that meets the complexity requirements shown on the screen. Confirm your password, then select Submit. The secure passkey page opens.
6. Optional: If you want to sign in with a passkey instead of your password, select Create a passkey. To skip this step or use a passkey for multifactor authentication (MFA) instead, select Skip for now.
7. Optional: If you opted to set up a passkey, follow the prompts from your browser or device. When you are finished, select Done.

NOTE: Trimble does not store your fingerprint, PIN, or face data.

8. On the Account Preferences screen, confirm your information and select Next.
9. Multifactor authentication is required. Click Continue.
10. Choose a multifactor authentication process and follow the prompts on your browser or device.

After the Trimble ID account administrator is set up, they need to complete the following:

• Set the password requirements and authentication policies for the whole site. See Set Trimble ID Password Requirements and Authentication Policy in the Admin Guide for Trimble Unity Maintain and Trimble Unity Permit for more information.
• Send email invitations to employees to create a Trimble ID. See Manage Trimble ID Status or Bulk Invite Existing Users to Trimble ID for more information.

NOTE: If you have previously worked with other Trimble products or solutions, your Trimble ID user may be associated with multiple accounts. In this case, make sure the default account is set correctly for the Trimble Unity application. Complete the following steps: Navigate to https://myprofile.trimble.com. Verify the current default account is correct under the Account management section. It should match your organization. If it is not correct, click Switch account to change the default account to your organization.
